[In 2000], Fergie Lewis and her fiancé were preparing for their up coming wedding. Fergie was in the process of selecting her wedding invitations so visited some of the most popular retailers in the area. After not being pleased with the service/variety offered there, someone recommended her to a retailer who had a small stationery business.

Her husband-to-be suggested she open her own stationery business. Fergie was very excited at the prospect of having her own business. Offering brides the same personal, professional service she was offered as a bride was her ultimate goal. While getting her business started and waiting for her permits, she continued to work. Once her stationery business was up and running, she was able to quit her job and devote herself to her business.

Originally from Dallas, Fergie and her husband have lived in the Point since 1997. After receiving a BA from Newcomb in 1995, she moved to Washington, DC. In 1997, her husband's job relocated them to New Orleans and they decided this is where they wanted to stay. Originally, they leased a half a shotgun double from a friend then started looking for their own place. They found what they were looking for [in their current home]. At her studio, Fergie offers consulting by personal appointment, but she also does consulting "on the road" for those busy brides who cannot make it to her studio.

Fergie specializes in wedding invitations, but has a variety of other stationery and [bridal accessory] items. Fergie offers a variety of products, including some exclusive/one-of-a-kind invitations...The personalized service one receives when visiting Fergie's studio, makes shopping for wedding invitations a very pleasant experience.
